Paraguay looking to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender
A member of the Paraguayan congress announced on Twitter that he would be introducing a bill to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender, but would also encourage crypto mining with renewable energy. If the bill passes, Paraguay could become a haven for Bitcoin miners. Carlitos Rejala, the congressman behind the bill, believes crypto miners will be able to take advantage of the countries renewable energy in order to mine crypto in a way that is environmentally friendly, but also cost-effective. The bill is said to reach Praguays congress in July, so if your a crypto-miner fleeing from the Chinese police state, I would keep an eye on Paraguay.
